According to Deadline, Kate Beckinsale (Underworld franchise) has been offered the role of Douglas Quaid's (Colin Farrell) treacherous wife, Lori in the upcoming Sony Pictures remake of the 1990 Paul Verhoeven-directed sci-fi cult film, Total Recall.
The original film, based on a short story by Philip K. Dick (We Can Remember It For You Wholesale) has achieved cult status over the years. No word yet on the other female lead, Melina, who Quaid meets on Mars. The names Rosario Dawson and Eva Mendes have been linked.
Kate Beckinsale is currently finishing up another Underworld flick- Underworld 4: New Dawn, so only time will tell whether she agrees to this role. I for one hope this comes to pass. Would love to see Kate in this role. What do you think?
