Amy Adams is The New Lois Lane

Director Zack Snyder has found his new Lois Lane in the three-time Oscar nominee, Amy Adams.

According to Hero Complex, the 36 year old actress, who was most currently nominated for Best Supporting Actress in The Fighter, has landed the role in the upcoming Superman film.

In an interview with Snyder at Hero Complex, the director said that after meeting her, he just "felt she was perfect for it".  He has also confirmed that both characters will be updated, going on to explain "what's important to us is making [Superman] relevant and real and making him empathetic to today's audience so that we understand the decisions he makes.  That applies to Lois as well. She has to be in the same universe as him [in tone and substance]."

Amy will join Henry Cavill (Superman), and Kevin Costner and Diane Lane as his adopted parents, Jonathan and Martha Kent.  The villain(s) have not yet been cast.

This is amazing news!  I am a huge fan of anything Amy Adams does (ever since Enchanted); such a versatile actress! What do you think about Amy Adams playing Lois Lane?
